To make settling down a bit easier for newcomers, we have listed all authorities foreign students have to contact upon their arrival. All details are to the best of our knowledge and do not claim to be complete.

In addition we recommend the brochure "Studieren in Dresden, Zittau und Görlitz - Ein Wegweiser für Studierende" (Studying in Dresden, Zittau und Görlitz - a guide for students) which is available from the Studentenwerk (student services) Dresden at the beginning of the semester.

Please use your letter of acceptance from the Evangelische Hochschule für Soziale Arbeit Dresden (hereinafter referred to as the ehs Dresden) to apply for an entry visa to Germany for study purposes at the German Embassy of your home country in time. This visa is valid in Germany for a maximum of three months.
